Update Routine

As a festival, Sudbury SummerFest Foundation has unique roots. It actually got its start through a charity. The founders did not foresee what their idea would come to be. They had a small plan and it grew.

Now a regular part of Summerfest are performing artists bringing originality, uniqueness, fun, and comedy. Perhaps in 2004 you had the chance to watch a juggler riding a 6 foot high unicycle. Or perhaps you enjoyed the comedy of ballet on stilts or the music of Bandolini, the one-man band. Or did Charlie Chaplin and his antics capture your attention?

In 2005, you would not have wanted to miss Circus Johnathan walking his tightrope or Charlie Little Fingers and his junior mosh pit. Chester, the mouthy side-kick to master ventriloquist Mark Crocker would have kept you howlin'!

If science is your thing, Mad Science has been a part of Summerfest for several years making science fun with real hands on entertainment. Story Socks regaled children with stories on the Story Book Stage.

If drumming is your thing, Jeff Stewart Spirit of the World Drumming kept your toes tappin' while you played as part of the drum circle.

Our History

Today, the festival promotes accessibility believing that a community event has to strive toward being inclusive to all of its community members.

The Board of Directors has maintained its vision of supporting local talent truly celebrating community.

Today, Sudbury Summerfest has grown into what has been described by many as a premier festival in Northern Ontario. Multiple stages bring a variety of musical genre to the entire family. All ages are entertained. Performing artists create a festive atmosphere.

What better way is there to spend a weekend then with family, friends and community enjoying music, artists, cotton candy and a ferris wheel all in the picturesque grounds of Bell Park. Come out and enjoy your community festival.
